Southeast Asia is my playground. Street food, markets that never sleep, islands that look too good to be real. It’s where I learned that the best meals usually come from the smallest stalls.

A bit more about me

Hey, I’m Álvaro, Cuban born and raised, now based in Dubai. I studied psychology in Havana, then moved to Melbourne to explore marketing and communications. Since then, I’ve been lucky enough to travel the world, from South East Asia to Europe and beyond and work across the global travel industry.

Somewhere along the way, I discovered that my real passion is storytelling through food. I’ve been leading food tours ever since sharing not just great dishes, but the history, people, and culture behind them. For me, food isn’t just about eating; it’s about connection.

With over eight years of experience in the travel scene, especially in culinary tourism my goal is to keep connecting people through culture, travel, and a shared love of good food.
